can a Polyethylene paddle boat be patched with a fiberglass patch?
i just bought a used paddle boat and i noticed it had a patch on it, the guy i got it from never used and didnt patch it, so he didnt know, but i looked the boat up online and found out that its made out of Polyethylene not fiberglass, but the patch on it has like a mesh matherial coted in some kind of thickish orang or red looking stuff, is this fiberglass patch or a patch for Polyethylene? will it leak or sink?
a polyethylene boat can be patched using fiberglass cloth and epoxy. the surface is cleaned and then heated with a flame to scorch the surface, then the surface can be bonded with fbg. cloth and epoxie.
the surface can also be repaired by using heat to weld additional layers of polyethylene to the hull.
hope this helps

I hear too many people just saying "whenever you will get a bite, automatically chic it in place, to understand it hooked. After you get some bite, just hang on 'till the user gets some stress then chic up. My partner and i say this because, the fish may be biting on the other side, where a hook isn't, after that all you're doing is scaring a person's catch out. And if you ever get a lot of tension and you miss it, don't fly fishing reel it in up, because your fish may still thinking of your tempt. So this approach proves of which fishing does indeed take patience.
